Artist Statement

My artistic practice is guided not by constraints but by the whispering call of creativity. Although my true love is fiber and textiles, my work has evolved into a boundless exploration across materials, spurred by my restless spirit and fueled by the belief that every object, no matter its origin, carries a story waiting to be told. Embedded within my work lies a tapestry of influences, blending the opulence of the Rococo movement with the boldness of modern maximalism. It's a dance between elegance and extravagance, where every creation becomes a celebration of beauty in its myriad forms.

With an unwavering commitment to the integrity of construction, I embark on each piece with a dialogue, listening intently to what the materials whisper, envisioning their desires, and breathing new life into discarded treasures found in secondhand shops. This act of transformation is not just about repurposing objects but about recognizing the inherent worth in every entity, acknowledging the interconnectedness of our existence.

Central to my artistic vision is a profound sense of gratitude and contentment, a reflection of the joy found in simply being alive. In a world consumed by haste, my work serves as a gentle reminder to pause, to cherish the abundance and beauty surrounding us, and to contemplate the ripple effect of our actions on the tapestry of life.

Lamps, with their luminous glow and interplay of light and shadow, often emerge from my studio, inviting viewers to revel in the enchanting dance of fabric and illumination. It's a testament to my enduring fascination with interior design and making a space feel truly like home.

My journey from crafty beginnings to a focus on design has been a testament to the transformative power of art, a journey guided by intuition, curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity. Each creation is not just a product of labor but a vessel for introspection, an invitation to contemplate the beauty woven into the fabric of existence.
